McDonald’s New Birthday McFlurry Is Made With Custard Pie and Soft-Serve Ice Cream

Our friends down under certainly know how to do desserts. Last year, McDonald’s Australia introduced the Donut Ball McFlurry and earlier this year, they welcomed the Mini Hotcakes with Nutella. Now the Birthday McFlurry is taking over the menu for the lucky people on the world’s smallest continent.

This McFlurry is seriously unlike any dessert you’ve had from McDonald’s before. It starts with bite-sized pieces of custard pie and is paired with soft-serve ice cream, and topped with caramel sauce and rainbow sprinkles. It’s certainly not like the birthday treats we’re all used to, but this fun spin delivers pie, ice cream, caramel, and sprinkles. What’s not to like?

In addition to the McFlurry, McDonald’s Australia announced on Instagram that it will also be serving up a regular Custard Pie to enjoy. Both of these specialty offerings will be available for a limited time beginning on July 7. However, if you use Uber Eats, you can snag them later this week.

Since we’re all (clearly) bummed that you can only get the Birthday McFlurry and Custard Pie in Australia, let’s remind ourselves of some limited-edition treats that we can get right now in the U.S. We have Dairy Queen’s Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Blizzard, Taco Bell’s Mountain Dew Baja Blast Colada Freeze, and Starbucks’ Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino. Feel better yet?
