Homemade Mcdonald’s M&M McFlurry (EASY)

McDonald’s McFlurry has been on the menu for almost 25 years. Yup! That long. There are up to 9 flavors, but the M&M is one of my favorites, so here is a homemade McDonald’s M&M McFlurry recipe from yours truly.

With only 5 ingredients and in 5 simple steps, you can make this bad boy as often as you want, right there in your kitchen.

You can totally wow your family or visitors with this; it shines through in events like birthdays, weddings, fundraising, etc. or you can just prep them to cool off when a heatwave hit.

And the best thing about this homemade McDonald’s M&M McFlurry recipe is that it is fully customizable; you can add a variety of your favorite toppings or twists to it.

Although I made use of an ice-cream churner, if you don’t have that, you can use a hand or stand mixer to churn your ice cream. Just make sure that you run the mixer for up to 10 minutes to get enough air in so you can have an extra fluffy and creamy result.

Also, if you do not make use of the ice-cream churner, store your ice cream in a metal loaf or pie so that it can freeze faster.

EQUIPMENT

  • Glass mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoon
  • Egg whisk
  • Ice cream churner or hand mixer
  • Freezer
  • Spoon

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Sweetened condensed milk full-fat
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup M&M’s chocolate candies

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a mixing bowl, measure in the milk, sugar, whipping cream, and vanilla extract. Combine all the ingredients by whisking the mix.
  2. Now, transfer the creamy mix into the insert of the ice-cream churner, start up the machine and let it churn for up to 12 – 15 minutes until it gets the consistency that you need.
  3. Once it is done churning, take the ice cream bowl/insert and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  4. After seemingly long waiting period, take it out of the freezer and check that it is the right consistency. Measure in the M&M’s chocolate candies and fold them into the ice cream. You can add as much M&M’s as you like. Go all out baby!
  5. Now, pour some more M&M’s into your empty mason jars as a base for the ice cream. Then, scoop some ice cream into the jars using a spoon. And we are done!

Notes

  1. You have to freeze the insert of the ice cream churner for 12 hours in preparation of your McDonald’s M&M McFlurry. If you can’t wait that long, you can at least freeze it for 5 hours max.
  2. You can freeze the mason jars or whatever you decide to serve your ice cream in, so your ice cream will stay chilled and firm for longer while it’s being eaten.
