McDonald's is rumoured to be launching a new McFlurry flavour just in time for summer and fast food fans are very excited.
The Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry is set to launch in July and the treat, which includes vanilla soft-serve, chocolate, peanut butter, and cookies, was reportedly well-received during testing in California last year.
The news was shared by Snackolator on social media, with positive reviews comparing it to a Reese's flavour.
This new flavour would replace the limited edition Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry that was released in April.
Snackolator said in a post on Facebook: "Could the US be getting another new McFlurry soon?! There is a rumor that our next McFlurry might just be the Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry tested last year and I am all for it!
"This McFlurry was tested in California markets last year and features vanilla ice cream with a mix of peanut butter, cookies, and chocolate.
"The reviews that I read seemed very positive and a lot of comparisons to a Reese's flavor with peanut butter cookies and chocolate.
"If the rumors are true, this would hit McDonald's in the US in July after the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry bids us adieu.
"Would you be excited if the next McFlurry is the Peanut Butter Crunch?"
McDonald's has a variety of other McFlurry flavours, such as Oreo and M&M's.
Earlier this month, the restaurant chain introduced a new Caramel Popcorn McFlurry, which was only available in Canada, though.
The Caramel Popcorn McFlurry features vanilla ice cream combined with caramel popcorn and caramel sauce.
It followed the Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry which was also released only in Canada and features confetti pieces along with cookie dough chunks.
Last month, McDonald's was hit with the results of an investigation by the Labor Department revealing that around 300 children were working at the restaurants illegally.
The investigation looking at franchisees in Kentucky found that two 10-year-olds received little or no pay for working there.
Three McDonald’s franchisees were fined $212,000 in total by the department.
Louisville’s Bauer Food LLC, which operates 10 McDonald’s locations, employed 24 minors under the age of 16 to work more hours than legally permitted, the agency said.

Among those were two 10-year-old children. The agency said the children sometimes worked as late as 2am, but were not paid.
“These reports are unacceptable, deeply troubling and run afoul of the high expectations we have for the entire McDonald’s brand,” McDonald’s USA spokeswoman, Tiffanie Boyd, said.
“We are committed to ensuring our franchisees have the resources they need to foster safe workplaces for all employees and maintain compliance with all labor laws.”
