Ice-cream lovers: Rejoice. McDonald's ice-cream machine is finally in service — allegedly — and they're bringing you a new flavor.

Just in time for spring. Beginning April 12, participating McDonald's locations across Middle Tennessee will serve a new, limited time, strawberry shortcake McFlurry. The frozen treat is made with creamy vanilla soft serve, strawberry-flavored clusters and crispy, buttery shortbread cookies.

The sweet news comes shortly after Popeyes announced its new frosted strawberry biscuits. The biscuits are Available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, the strawberry biscuits are $1.79 each, two biscuits for $2.99 or four biscuits for $5.39.
