I work in a different state than where I live, which is in a different state than where all my family is, therefore I'm traveling quite a bit. I'm also an avid coffee drinker and I like my coffee very strong. Hotel and motel room coffee machines do not provide that bite.
I usually can get hot water in a hotel room or a motel lobby, except occasionally you cannot. Ergo, I carry around an electric kettle, a French press, and my coffee grounds, along with a big enough cup to drink some coffee comfortably.
It's crazy. When I discovered this Stanley travel thermos with its own ingrained French press I knew this could free up a lot of space in my suitcase.
I intend to just carry the coffee grounds and this cup from now on. Most hotels will provide hot water nowadays or they have the room coffee pot that you can heat the water in.
I'll get my strong coffee, the grounds can be tossed outside for composting, and travel will be a lot more lightweight and less bulky.
I tried out the cup and got a perfect cup of coffee that stayed warm until I finished all of my drink. It also fits comfortably in most cupholders in vehicles.
The lip stays attached which is wonderful but kind of a little uncomfortable holding it down when you're taking a drink. I've realized I just put one finger over it and it stays put while I take a swig of coffee.
I give this two thumbs up because I know this way the lid won't get lost and it's not that much of an inconvenience for the whole convenience of this French press travel mug!

I love this tool. To me it is a tool. I use it for traveling quite a bit. It's easy to use Quick and simple to clean. It even packs fairly light in a backpack. The only problem I have ever had is the gaskets in the lid seem to at times just disappear. But they have always replaced them quickly. Also once the bottom of the press broke but again they replaced it quickly. I have bought probably 10 maybe more of these over the years. However. It used to be that I just called someone and had a conversation with a real person, told them my woe and very quickly had a replacement. This is the reason I use Stanley so much. Big thermoses ,Mid size,too. Are all in my artillery. When I call now a days I get put on hold,never speaking to a soul. leave a message a month later still no call back??? Is this my Stanley???

Now that I have my two beautiful French presses, I can’t believe how I previously transported my coffee. Number 1, the finish was pealing off and looked gross, number 2, it never kept my coffee warm for more than a half hour. Stanley wasn’t kidding when they promised to keep beverages hot for up to 4 hours! Amazing! I’m so very thrilled with my purchases.
